INSOLVENCY

Given the firms substantial involvement in Debt Recovery, Insolvency is an integral part of the service provided by
the firm.

Liquidation

Any company with an issued share capital of less than £120,000 can be wound up in the Sheriff Court.  All other liquidations must be presented to the Court of Session.  The firm regularly presents petitions to the courts for liquidation in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and the Court of Session.  The firm has contacts in a number of Insolvency firms who are willing to act as provisional liquidator on a speculative basis.

Sequestration

Creditors’ petitions are regularly presented to the court by the firm as part of the Debt Recovery process.  In addition the firm acts for people who find that they are in debt and for whom Bankruptcy affords an opportunity to write off debt and to start again.
