Telfer Blacklock was educated in Swaziland and Edinburgh.  He graduated MA (Hons) LLB Dip LP from Edinburgh University in 1982.  Following his traineeship at Balfour & Manson he remained with the firm becoming a partner in 1988.  In 1991 he resigned from the partnership and the firm was formed shortly afterwards.  He specialises in the field of debt recovery generally and in sheriff court practice. Telfer is married with 4 sons.  His interests include computers, golf, music and bridge. Telfer won the 'Managing Partner of the Year' award at the Law Awards of Scotland in 2007 and also in 2010.
